I'd consider service down the road, as well as warranty coverage. Home Depot doesn't do their own service or warranty work, so without a Cub Cadet dealer nearby, you might have parts and service issues.
No idea, my statement was only pointing out that with no Cub Cadet dealer nearby, warranty work and parts might be an issue.This isn't a loaded question, but do the dealers treat the 1000 series tractors differently than the high-end ones in terms of support? I had read on the JD forum that the "big box" models created tension when brought to dealers for service.
