The Wide/Narrow frame styles of Cub Cadet ended after IH sold the Cub Cadet line in 1981. A 1405 is neither, it is a lawn tractor built by the Cub Cadet Corporation between 1985-91.
I may want to rephrase that: That series (805, 1015, 1020, 1105, 1110, 1215, 1220, 1315, 1320 & 1405) was made between 85 and 91 the 1405 itself may have only been made in 90 and 91.
If you get much snow in your area you may want to consider something that is built a little heavier. Thought the 1405 made a good grass cutting machine it came with a fairly light weight peerless aluminum transaxle that was notorious for going bad if it were exerted.
I'm sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear.
CCC(MTD) parts Number for snow blade for a 1405
190-424 42inch blade
190-350 40inch Snow Blower
759-3049 Tire Chains
290-215 Wheel weights
Just a little tid bit of more Information the Cub Cadet Corpartion has always been owned By MTD So take those part number's to any Cub Cadet or MTD dealer and you can probably see if they have one in there Parts Warehouse.
Okay, i just purchased this 1405 in the past week, I mowed with it on Day 1, Day 2 i go start it, it runs, i change the head lamp bulbs, doing that blew the fuse, and made the wires hot as if there was a short somewhere, So i disconnected the Head Lamps, changed the fuse again, and all it does now is it will crank and crank and crank but it won't actually start.
So, If anyone could help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated!
