Just got in an Oliver 550.

It got burnt outside, so did do any serious damage. We replaced the distributor cap and wires, and it fired right up.

I would have NEVER guessed that it would fire up that easy! Not in a million years! Did you try shifting it into gear? You're probably gonna tell me that all the gears work, and with new tires and some paint, you already have a buyer lined up. Why oh why can't I find one like that?????????????? :banghead3 :banghead3 :banghead3 :banghead3 I'd find one with a 4" burn mark on it and the innards would be nothing but pudding........ and I'd be like this guy> :beatdeadh

Joe, I didn't climb on to try it out, but the hydraulic arms lifted while we were starting it. LOL I have no doubt that the tranny is fine, just the lever boots are all burnt off.

Freebird, it was a grassfire started by their outdoor wood boiler. The family lost their house and barn too!
