This Snapper has been up on my local Craigslist for a couple of weeks. Emailed the seller to see if its even still avaliable. Price seems a tad high to me, but I just started price watching so am curious of opinions. I wish it was a 28". Any thoughts are appreciated.

Seems a bit high to me too, but it does seem in good shape from pic's. I picked up my 28" '05 model a month ago for $500 and am very pleased with it's performance! The high vac deck SUCKS!
I know I got it for a really good price. He was a motivated seller and I had the cash in my pocket.
There are pic's of it in a thread i started.

Sucks! In a good way. LOL.
It'll pickup sticks etc. without a problem. You do need to have the correct blade setup for the hi-vac. I have the ninja mulch blade also that came with it. I've yet to try it but have been told it mulches excellent. I'm just used to bagging for the nice clean look.

I have no personal experience with the Snappers.

In my research, I have found sites that say to :Stop: STAY AWAY:Stop: from the ones with the SQUARE TUBE like the one in your picture and to buy either the old ones with the :fing32: ROUND TUBE:fing32: that came before the SQUARE TUBE or the :fing32: ROUND TUBE:fing32: ones that Snapper went back to making.

You will have to Google it yourself as I have forgotten what the issues were that made the SQUARE TUBE less desirable.

Good luck!

Please point me at those sites? Are those the series with the 'console' below the steering wheel i.e SR1028 or similar? I heard similar comments from a local retired lawn mower guy. Said the person responsible for that design got fired?
I'm curious as to what the problem is with those Snappers. Lots for sale now.
Thanks
