Hi guys,

I picked up this blower a couple of weeks ago and it seems to be in good shape, apart from missing the motor, the motor pulleys, and some of the clutch linkage on the right side handle.

I know where I can get hold of a motor, can anyone provide me with pictures and/or dimensions of the other bits I'm missing? I can fab up some of the stuff, but in particular I need to know the pulley dimensions.

Its a late '70's Craftsman 22", origonally powered by a 6 hp Tecumseh.

Thanks

Hi, first you will need to determine the shaft size of the pulley. Most snow engines have 7/8" bore size, but there are some that are 1". Most used a 1/2" or 3/8" belt, or both. One for the blower and one for the drive. Below is a link I found to a supplier of the pulleys you will need, they also sell engines for repowering your blower. Also check sears direct, most likely they will have parts for your blower also.

Sears 'parts' had the instruction booklet for mine, which is similiar to yours. They still had most of the parts, though some are generic to most of their snowblower line. Got the belts from my local Napa dealer.
I got 2 of them, and a 3rd. is being made as a backup to the backup unit. I 2 years, I haven't needed them, knock on wood.

I have one that is identical to yours only slightly larger. I was able to order parts from Jack's Small Engines last winter. You will need the model #.:goodl:
