Craftsman LT2000 starter problem

got a 917-273180 that's got a little quirk when you start it. Seems like there's a dead spot and you need to hit it right on before the starter will crank. Checked the battery and it's showing 12.1 volts. What do you think--the solenoid, the ignition switch? Let me know

Welcome, AND I suggest you post the engine model number as I for one have no idea what engine that would have on it.

I MAY have your answer but need model number. Address below IF you would like to contact me. Put in proper format and remind me, engine model number and what you want.
