Craftsman gt5000 drive belt problems

I recently replaced the drive belt on my Craftsman gt5000. The tractor works fine without the mower attached, but when I re-install the mower the drive belt slips off again. Any thoughts?

model # 917.25024. Belt I'm sure is the correct size. Routed according to the manual diagram. Again, it drives fine until I replace the mower deck.
My question is what about replacing the mower deck could cause the drive belt to immediately slip off?
