craftsman 917.273502 fuel issues

Hello everyone glad to be a part of this forum.
I'm in the Sunshine state of Florida from Va.
Honda 16.5 hp gxv530 exa2 will start cold run fine for almost 1 min then begin to backfire a little and then cut off. It will not start again for about 20 mins and dose the same thing all over. I believe its flooding. The fuel solenoid is working
fuel tank cleaned out and now Im using ethanol free gas with stabil brand fuel conditioner. I have drained carb bowl several times. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to MTF James. Nice to have you here. :)
Check the gas cap vent. If that doesn't solve the problem post your question over in the Craftsman section. You should get more responses there.
