Hi All,

With the TT K46 being so expensive to replace or repair I was wondering if anyone had converted a Hydrodrive to a manual box?

Are the manual boxes tougher than the Hydro's?... any other disadvantages?

All the best.

I do not see the cost savings because you are going to have to figure out the shift linkage so I think a new fender/seat pan would be in order unless you are just going to cut a hole in the one you have. I am not sure it would be worth the hassle. You would be better off finding a stronger hydro if you have to replace it.

a hydro is so much better is almost every situation.

if I thought mine was weak I would still stick with it and fix/replace if an when it failed!

could not imagine going back to a manual tranny!
