Ok im not big on details of tractors but ALL the ropers ive seen that have single cylinder engines for some reason got the briggs motor...But stripmine has a 73 Roper catalog that shows the RT10 roper(basically an ST10) and it definately shows a tecumseh engine in it...Am I wrong on that the ropers had the briggs engines?I know the ST10 has a tecumseh....

I have seen many Ropers with Tecumsehs in them. I pulled a HH100 out of one I used for years. Roger

^^^Ditto what he said^^^ I pulled a red HH100 from a parts RT/10 I had laying around, I used it in my Sears for quite a few years before it popped.

i had never seen a Tecumseh in a red roper.....Ropers in my area are far and few between....ALL the single cylinders ropers Ive seen had briggs..so when I saw that book that had tecumsehs in them, it became controversial to me...

My RT/10 has the original Tecumseh in it.
