Hi again.
I've laid on a creeper. I've sat in the seat. I've read the books. Can anyone explain to me how the constant speed pedal works? I see the spring below the pedal in the photo and see mine is broken. But I can't figure how it clicks or locks on the drum. Any ideas or explanations. Can't say I plan on using it just want to know why and how Bolens did it.

Mine is also the 1250. I've tried it, unless you push and hold with all your might it doesn't hold. Figured I'm missing something.

If I remember right you did have to press kind of hard, my two cents.

What model large frames had speed hold or was it an option?
Ive heard of cruise control and i have a hand lever but this is new to me

It was on the 1250's when you bought it, they had the cast pedals, my two cents.
