Comet 30 Debut

Over the weekend, the Comet 30 made her debut to the public at her first tractor gathering. My best friend's church had a Father/Son/Friend Breakfast and the theme was antique cars and tractors. Unfortunately, it rained that morning so there were only a dozen or so tractors and a 57' Chevy pickup. The Comet, of course, was the only pickup-friendly tractor there, considering all of the others were driven to the church from nearby farms.

Here is a sampling of the show:

I also took the opportunity on Sunday to reinstall the Snapper's original (??) brake handles. Essentially, they are what makes this tractor a true zero-turn machine, for its day. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to restore the handles so they are in original condition, plus a little electrical tape for grips.

Enjoy:
