:howdy:Can someone give me the overall lenght on the clutch spring for a 656? The spring on it now is stretched and is hitting the brake cover. Something does not look right, where it attaches to the tranny case and then to the parking brake lever is a mighty strong angle. :thanku: for your time.

I don't know where I got this but
1014 Spring, Extension, 4.500" between hooks, .070" wire, .520" coil OD, .380 coil ID, 3.570" coil length, 52 + 2 1/2 coils = 53

The spring does ride right on top of the brake band.

:howdy:Gary and Kelly. :thanku: for your replies. Gary, you stated 4.500". between hooks. The one I took off, even being stretched, is 3.500" between hooks. I rough measured the distance between the parking brake lever hole and the trans mount hole for the spring, and it is 9.250", this is with the parking brake lever in the locked position. I am totally confused. I realize this is a extension spring, but to stretch is twice its length? Also the new number is 83-2730.
