I currently have a MC519 for my X728 and was thinking about selling it and getting a 3 bag 14 bushell bagger. The question I have is it requires the click N go brackets. I have a three point hitch installed, would it interfere with anything for the brackets or the bagger?

Thanks

No. Even though John Deere says it won't work with the 3ph, it does. Both of my X585's have 3 point and click n go brackets. Just remove the lift arms, and install bagger.

Just curious as to why you would go with 3 bags over the MC519 cart? slkpk

Thanks for the info, I would rather have the bagger setup because I use my tractor to mow some lawns and it is easier to get it on and off the trailer plus in the fall cleaning up leaves. Instead of dumping it on the ground, I can just lift the bags off and dump it in my trucks.

Thanks for the pictures Sergeant, that really helps. I don't see a cab in my future, maybe one for my 430 as that is usually what I use for snow duty. I figure since I have the powerflow head, I will buy the rest of the bagger attachments and try an sell the cart and chute for the MC519.

Thanks again,

Whoops Mixed them Up The 2Bag Power Flow is Not compatible with the Cab But the 3 bag is. With the 2 Bag and Cab can be Mounted But You Can’t Open Hopper So You’ll actually be fine:thThumbsU

I would think long and hard before going to the 3 bagger. I have one and while I like it and it does an excellent job, the bags are a pain to empty! The two bagger I had on my old 445 had bags that were much easier to empty. I have been told that they are the same bags, BUT the hoops are much smaller and this is what makes the bags more difficult to empty. Also, it's been my experience that because the hoops are smaller and using the same bags, when emptying the bags the hoops tend to "open up" and then you have to mess around getting everything back together again.

That being said, I still wouldn't be without it. It beats not having a bagger at all!

To prevent the hoops from opening on my three bagger I drilled one side of the hoop and pop-riveted it closed. When it comes time to replace the bags I'll just drill out the rivet, replace the bag and put in a new rivet.

This has worked fine for me.

Seargant,

Are those Deestone tires on your machine?

I've got a 485 aws and I have a second set of AWS wheels that I'd like to mount a g's on.

I like the look of the Deestone's and was thinking they might not tear the grass up as bad as some of the other lug tires.

Anyone have good pictures as to how the bracket from a 2 bagger hopper fits on the click N Go brackets on a X495 ?

Jimbo what do you need to know? The lower portion has a pin that fits into a hole in the lower rear frame of the tractor. And the upper portion of the hopper frame has two tabs that fit into the click and go brackets.

I found my problem.....the hopper frame is for a GT275 Tractor.....even though the power flow fits my 54" deck the hopper frame is wrong for a x495 click n go bracket.
So I either have to sell what I have or look for the right hopper frame to fit my x495
