I have purchased an old Columbia Par Car golf cart that has been repowered with what I believe to be a Chinese knock-off of a Honda engine. It is a Power Max 190F 16 HP engine. It is a great running engine but is missing an air cleaner. I currently have a foam element clamped over the inlet throat but want to get some type of proper air cleaner on it before I run it regularly. I've been told this is modeled after the Honda GX390 so I'm thinking that there's a chance that a Honda part would bolt on. My other option is to buy a generic air cleaner & fit it up. Any advice either way on this?

HOnda never made an engine "that big"...but it was based off the GX390 design.

A 390 air filter would work. Id go to somewhere like n-r racing, or affordablegokarts.com and use an aftermarket filter and adapter...
