I sure this has been asked several times but a search came up dry.

Where to get a cheap seat??? I need one for a yt 16 Ford at the moment but could use several for other brands.

I hate to buy a seat for a tractor going up for sale,,but I have many times. Been costing me about $100 each time. I don't really get my money back out of that. Or just.
But very hard to sell ,,,if a raggy old seat,,,, on a nice tractor.

You may stumble upon one at a scrap/recycle yard that is good!

Surplus stores sometimes have them.

I think tractor supply has one for ~$30.
You could always look in scrap yards for junked mowers.

I've used seats off of discarded office chairs before. I remove the seat from its pedestal and transfer the tractors seat bolt pattern to the office chairs seat pan. I predrill for 5/16" self-tapping bolts and install. A bonus to this is that these chairs can be had for cheap or free. Some even have fold up arm rests and a slider for back and forth adjustment.

www.surpluscenter.com has a wide variety of tractor seats also...only bummer about mail order stuff is the shipping can make it cost as much as buying local sometimes..

I could use some new seats myself,I am going to have to live with what I have for the time being though..someday I want to get some pan style metal ones for my Sears..
I dont care for the vinyl ones, though the higher backrests are more comfy, the covers seem to split and tear awful quickly and the pan itself rots away too,on the vinyl covered seats...and they cost as much as I have paid for a whole tractor!..
