Cheap tail lights in a 318

I ordered a complete set of tail lights and the assembly.I can see why so many are missing them. The brackets are metal that clamp to the tractor. But the plastic tail light tabs that hold it all tight are a joke.If they break off you loose the complete assembly.Wonder if there is a after market tail light with metal retainers rather then a plastic tab?

Dunno. 23 years later my originals are right where some factory tech put them.
Hopefully thats where mine will remain.Mine were gone when I got it and part of the restoration was repairing a small dent on the back between the two.So hopefully thats what made them fail.
Yeah, it's a big riding lawn mower - I've bumped stuff going forward and backward.

You took the words from my mouth, LOL! 26 years and they are still there. :duh:
My originals with the metal bolts were broken when I got my 318. The new replacements are very cheap....

That what I was wondering if the originals had a metal back and studs rather then all plastic?
