So I've been hitting my head on the box below since I added the cab 4 years ago! I decided to change it this year since I took a pretty good smack last year on one night clearing snow. I added the parts diagram and a video of the changes because I haven't put much eye candy on here lately!

Is there anyway to post a short video on the Forum without first posting it on YouTube?

I am not registered with YouTube and do not wish to be, but it seems there is no way to post a video here with going thru YouTube.

PA - Thanks for keeping us up to date on your progress. You might need it sooner than you thought. Yesterday's graupel melted on contact with my driveway, but, over night it re-froze into ice patches.

bbyer - If you don't want to use YouTube, there are other video publishing sites, but as far as I know, you have to have the video hosted somewhere so that you can publish a link to it here.

You must have a video that has an associated URL (web address location) on it. Therefore you must use some web based video service (does not need to be Youtube) that is web based and then just enter the link in the post.

Jere,

Woke up to 4 inches yesterday morning and still had an inch this morning. Let's say that I am now "properly" motivated to get it done!

Got the cab up out of the basement today and began fabricating a temporary right side vinyl replacement for the lowers since the yellow ones got badly ripped last year. Going to put 4 eye bolts on it so I can suspend it from the ceiling to mount it easier this year. My son and I have "brute forced" it into place for a few years and that is something I can't do right now.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for letting me know to look for a video hoisting service that is an alternative to YouTube. The less one gets tangled up with Google and the like, the better I think.

I will start a search for such. I modified my JD 425 headlights to display as wig wags as required, and I wanted to show it off on MTF.

Thanks again.

Looks great, and I love the simplicity of using a basic angle iron, rather than fabricating some sort of custom box!

Just functional is all I need.
No question you won’t miss the head banging experience. Switches, fuses, etc. in the front header is definitely a good place. Looks nice too. By the way, carpet on the roof is a good idea. It will make the cab warmer.

I used to bump into it pretty often, but that winter I really smacked it, it was held by some industrial velcro strips and fortunately the front one loosened or I'm sure I would have had stitches. I did see a few stars though.
