Hi guys, don't come to the CC side much but ran across this today and thought I would ask here. I have never seen one but I assume it is pretty rare!

Does anyone have any info on it or idea on what it would be worth?

Thanks in advance
Mikey.

Wow.

I heard about those somewhere.

If I'm not mistaken they are VERY rare.

Is this guy selling??

I believe it will be for sale. I am trying to help the widow get a price for it since as soon as I saw it I knew it was rare!

Can't really help with the price Mikey, but I think it might be " one or two known to exist" kinda rare.

Thats what I am kind of thinking too Ben. Can't find anything online. It is definitely odd!
Just when I think I've seen it all ...
I would suspect something like that would have been mounted by Lawlor on a brand new tractor, fresh out of the factory Mikey. Can you ID the year of the tractor and maybe trace it down historically that way?

Cool find, never even heard of something like that made to fit on a GT. Maybe a competitor of Tennant or even bought out by Tennant later on.

Yet on second look, the tag has all electrical ratings and since a gas engine is not the best indoors, maybe somebody took it off another machine and mounted it on the Cub for outdoor surfaces. very strange.......

It was definitely a factory retrofit everything is to cleanly mounted! Wasn't sure where the ID tag would be on this thing, Saturn any help there?

Not sure exactly what Tennant is Larry?

Tennant is one of the bigger or biggest names in commercial floor sweepers and scrubbers but usually battery or propane powered like an indoor forklift.

If that Lawlor ID tag was on the tractor itself, maybe a factory prototype. Could be a real find.:fing32:

Thanks Larry! I figured thats what you meant but wasn't sure.

I wonder why they used a garden tractor for it? Seems that for fumes and everything propane or batteries would be better like you said!

The only tag my 147 has is the metal one, mounted vertically on the rear drive housing. They get painted over sometimes.

Thank you, I will see if I can find it next time :)
Larry just saw your links now! I will have to look, maybe this one is actually ran on propane too? Never heard of a K being ran on it but who knows. I will get more info next time I am there!

That machine was manufactured in Elmhurst Illinois. They converted IH tractors by adding tanks, scrubbers etc. They made a 60 and a 72 and were used in such places as Yankee Stadium, Kennedy International Airport, General Motors, Coca-Cola, Cambell Soups, American Airlines to name a few. I am a former Plant Manager of the company. Oh, and it was manufactured in the IH Yellow. (QUOTE)

Where would I find the hydro transmission bypass valve on this guy? We are going to try to make a deal on it, just so it doesn't meet the fate of the scrap yard
I kind of agree about the using a gas engine indoors , but thinking about it , that machine is old , and back then nobody really cared, :/. Then I got to thinking what it could be used for outside, all I could come up with at first was a ******* zamboni kinda thing , it's not like the competition haven't built them :/ Motor vehicle Vehicle Mode of transport Tractor Automotive wheel system

Thank you very much rcbe! That helped greatly, looks like it is still accessible even with the conversion unlike with the data tag:thThumbsU
This probably is propane. I saw floor polisher at an auction mounted on a CASE 400 series. It was Propane. Unfortunately the auction had 2 rings going and while losing bit at other ring didn't get chance to bid on CASE. I think I asked and someone said CASE went for $400.00.
