I tried fixing a rough running engine by patching the wire running from the magneto. The issue returned and I was just going to start over with a new wiring harness. I am ready to order this part (http://store.yahoo.com/yhst-128240981312214/c2mawiha20.html) but my serial number (9736819) doesn't fall in any of the exact ranges for my model. It is in the range for 220 but not 222.

Will this work?

Your tractor is a bit older than that wiring harness is used for.

Review the parts manual for your tractor and you will find C23023.

We've got a few of those from old stock, available for quick shipment:

C23023 - HARNESS - Salem Power Equipment, LLC

This is only the main harness for the tractor. When you look at the parts manual, it will be the circuits with the #1 call out for this part, and running through the area identified in the manual for that call out.

Thanks very much. It is in the shopping cart as I type. As well as the C18014 and cap. Do I need anything else for the steering wheel assembly?
These items will ship today. You correctly caught also that the steering wheel center cap is new with this new style wheel ... :thThumbsU
