Going to look at a 1988 Case 1825 skid steer tomorrow. He's asking $6300. He says the machine runs great and the only issue is one hydraulic line going to the cooler seaps a little. It has 2900 hours on it which I'd say is pretty low considering its age. Comes with original bucket modified to be bigger and another aftermarket bucket. I asked him what the lowest he'd take is and he said he'd go $6000. I might try haggling him down a bit more after I see it but I'm wondering if you guys think this is a good deal or not. I have concerns that it won't have enough power for some tasks and I may need to sell it. Will I have trouble getting my money back on such an old piece of equipment? This is the only picture I have.

My parents have a brand new Bobcat on the farm and an old Case 1835. The case because of its size still gets used alot. The case has been rock solid. Always starts right up and runs. Not sure if dad has done anything to it except grease it and replace tires. It's been through maybe three or four sets and needs another set now. It just keeps running. They are built like a tank.

I searched Case 1825 for sale, a few auction results. Don't know if it's helpful.
The 2004 had a problem, sold cheap.
