Can anyone please tell me the make and model of the carb that is on my 1967 B-10?(late style)It is leaking and I want to see about getting a kit or just gasket for it. I’m sure you guys already know that the engine is a 10HP Briggs. Thanx , crossy

I just figured out mine with help from here Its on my thread that's says new owner. Try speading the clip that hold plunger behind the float mine was crimped a bit and cause my carb to leak because it wasn't shutting off fuel. I just got mine also

How are you making out ive had mine off 3 or 4 times. That float is a . I used a small level and my eyes to level and bend float tab to push plunger up only at a horizontal point of the float. if you dont bend right it will cause it to shut off fuel early on uphills causing the tractor to stallat certain rpms, or fuel to overfill carb when shut off. You also have to make sure the little clip is loose. This is my first time workingon these carbs and its taking me a bit to figure out.

Hmmm...I think you're making too much of it. If it's flooding, and you've adjusted the float a bit above level (when upside down), then it's probably the needle or the seat that needs replacement or relapping.

If it makes you feel better, I pulled my next project out of the back of the barn tonite and got her to fire up, only to find that after a fresh carb rebuild, she leaks like a sieve. =]
