just returned from the farm machinery show in Louisville, Ky. I noticed that the ROPS were taken off when the cab went on. I questioned the kubota reps on this and they said the cab would be stronger than the ROPS in a roll-over. any thoughts on this? the ROPS look really strong to me.

:Welcome1: chas, I can't see how a cab would be more protection than a ROPS. But maybe they know something we don't. Should get some interesting comments.

Did a little research on google and found some interesting articles like the one attached. From what I read, it appears ROPS used with a cab is the ultimate protection, but no where did I read that a cab would offer more protection alone without a ROPS.

Splice, ROPS = roll over protection structure

chas,

Welcome to the forum. :Welcome1: Many cabs are ROPS certified, so that in the event of a rollover, they are as safe or safer than a ROPS.

maybe the cabs are safety certified but the 4 posts holding them up don't look as stout as the original ROPS to me.
