Eric55106 was kind enough to point out the 684576 (white) as a possible replacement for a broken 684575. Are these wheels interchangeable?

Thanks!

Is that a typo? Isn't the orange one a 684575? Looks like they would interchange, but the orange one looks a little beefier than the white one. Like I said in your original thread, 684575 is still available though, at least through Partstree.com.

Yes they both interchange.... Just different colors. The white ones were used on the regular M machines.

Im pretty sure they both have the same wheel..

Eyup, that's a typo. It's good I don't disarm bombs for a living. "Steady now, cut wire 684576 - the orange one...but wait..."

Eric pointed me to a white wheel on Ebay for $49.99 and I bought it now. ;)

$87.30 for the 684575 at mowpart.com. Still expensive though.

I received the new wheel today (684576), and while it will work perfectly there are two minor differences you purists might be interested in. ;)

The wheel uses a brass-colored bushings instead of roller bearings. The wheel does have a zerk and there is a space between the bushings to hold grease, the same as the space between the bearings on the original. The axle (bolt) is identical.

The wheel uses felt washers as seals instead of 'rubber' washers.

And yep, the wheel is white instead of orange. :)
