Every now and then that pesky 20 amp fuse will blow on a BX and it won't shut down via the key. There is a way to shut it down some what safely but caution must be observed when using this method. The fuel injector pump on the BX series includes a manual shutdown lever. It's located right next to the throttle lever. It doesn't have anything connected to it and is spring loaded to stay in the closed or run position. Inorder to shut the engine down one needs to carefully reach down in the engine compartment, locate the lever then rotate it towards the front of the tractor, this will shut the engine down in a few sec's. Once it's stopped you can release the lever and it will return to the run position. If you're going to have to use this method for a time, like when your awaiting parts, or you want a secondary shutdown just for GP, you may want to connect a wire, rod or other semi ridgid apparatice so as to avoid reaching down into that hot compartment wih a spinning fan nearby :D
