I've been looking for ideas or plans to build a front bucket for my '71 GT. I like the Johnny Bucket Jr., but don't especially like the price. I'm DIY'er and believe I can make something that will do the job. This morning, I stumbled into this photo and it has me intrigued. I already have a 42" blade and something along this line would be an easy fabrication. And I can see several ways to improve this idea.
The question in my mind is; does the lifting hydraulics for my blade have enough power to lift any kind of meaningful load in a contraption like this? If so, the advantage of this is obvious. No need to switch back and forth between blade and bucket. Pick up a load, carry to site, dump and with scoop raised high, use the blade to level. Go back for another load and repeat.
