Broken Fan on a 2210

1169 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  thatguybme
Hello new to this group.
I recently purchased a 2210 with 90 hrs. on it.
I put 9 hrs. on in 2 days.
Would of put more hrs. on it but I broke the fan.
I have been making trails and burn piles.
On the second day I chewed up the trans. fan.
I have been taking out Buckbrush & Manzanita bushes that were larger than the tractor.
I live in California the weather is in the 60s.
Can I use the tractor until I get a new fan & brushguard while the weather is still cool?
I have never had a tractor before.
I love this thing and wouldn't want to hurt it.

If the fan is broke get it fixed now before your tear up the expensive transaxle. slkpk
Thanks
That's why I shut it down.
I have ordered a fan & skid plate.
Will install it as soon as they show up.
The low oil filter & fan is a **** poor design.
Right now I am doing some clearing.
Once this is done I will be doing maintaining.
With the skidplate I shouldn't have the problem again.

Bernie,
All of us that own the 2210 and 2305 have complained about this design and

now the new 1023/1026R no longer have a low filter and the fan has been

replaced with a hydro cooler. Through my experience, skid plate will work

fine.:fing32:

If you look around on here or the other tractor forum (TBN) there are posts on how ppl have been able to replace the fan by cutting it in half and then reinstaling it.. This means a LOT less labor/time to change it the normal way
