I think it's a good price. I believe the current JD dealer price is somewhere in the $50-55 range due to steel prices. I ordered all of mine through Lowes (similar price at the time) and I had credit card rewards to use.

I got mine there. My dealer wanted 57.00 per weight and HD was 46.00 and they shipped them to my door free.

is it good deal? i need bracket for 212 and 316 will fit like suitcase?
That's the best price you'll find on new weights. It tickles me seeing guys buying used weights on ebay, etc. when they can have new ones for less sent to their home. I got six weights for $46 a piece sent to my house with free shipping.

I bought 2 in the spring from my local john deere dealer and it ended up being somewhere around 90.00. Lowes is cheaper but I am impatient and wanted/needed them asap. If you are willing to wait I would go and get em from lowes.

Does anyone know if the weight bracket Home Depot sells will fit my Hydro 165? It's an LT series, I believe.

Even though I do not have a JD :sorry1: I have seen this deal for a while on HD's website. I was looking for suitcase weights for my Legacy and new they were around $ 95 for a 50 lb weight !!

Anyway I get a giggle out of it when I look on the local craigslist and see that there is a guy selling a used set of the 42 lb JD weights for $ 55 per weight.
I wonder if he knows that he is way off or if he is just trying to see if someone bites on it and he makes some money.

It always amazes me what people think stuff is worth when they sell it used.
Not long ago there was a guy listing a snow bear trailer for $ 1,200. This is the same one I paid $ 598 for brand new about 8 years ago - yeah I don't think so.

After seeing this post, I just bought two more.... now I'm up to four. This really is a good deal, especially when you consider the free shipping. Maybe I can sneak another purchase of two in a few weeks without the wife noticing lol.

Can you just walk into the stores and buy them too for that price, or must they be ordered online for delivery?

Bought four of these online also. Note they are shipped commercial freight, i.e. could come in a semi rig and require a signature. Most freight companies only deliver M-F and can only give you a four hour time frame. I had to re-direct my delivery to work location (more convienent). Good deal though.

I bought my six from HD. My dealer wanted 57.00 per weight so it was a way better deal at 46. Mine also showed in a semi and on a pallet.

The trucking company called me to arrange for delivery and someone to sign for the weights. I sent an email to the trucking company saying a signature was not needed.
The weights were delivered about seven days after being ordered online from Home Depot.
