This question is for anyone who has a box scraper and has a rock driveway, how do you set up the scraper to not pull so much rock and just level it out? I have a problem with the scraper pulling all the rock off the surface. Any help....

The good ole box blade can be a bear to learn how to use. The secret is in adjusting the top link and controlling your 3PH. Trial and error. slkpk

So would you lengthen the top link or shorten it?

dusting,

Try shortening the top link first. :)

Lengthen, you want the rear blade making contact for smoothing. I have to agree it does take practice.

/ \ This is a side view of your blades, you want the front blade tilted up and the rear doing the leveling.

Does this make sense?

Yea, I'll give that a try. You really have to play with them to make them work.

Has anyone taken the front blade off and tried that?

I got bored and took the front blade off, it only gives you a little bit less cut at the same angle, I only gained about a half inch more clearance to help the rear blade. ( If that makes sense? ) It did seem to help a little bit though.
