Bobcat (Clark-Melroe) paint question.

Paint is very difficult to find; very difficult to investigate paint codes.

... I have a 325 excavator I would like to restore/repaint this winter.
... White and orange no problems.
... Dealer insists on selling me black 6902229 (aerosol spray can size)
... Question: Is there a charcoal grey paint code? Not grey primer.

I see the code as you posted but listed as Charcoal: Bobcat Number: 6902229, Nason Number: 867781 IEC.

You could also match what you want at an auto paint shop, if that doesn't work for you.

Bobcat equipment (even new) appears to be white and a dark shade of gray, not black. Does Bobcat use a gray paint other than a primer?

Yes that # is listed as charcoal black. However Amazon sells a charcoal grey? I'm confused.

Might just be a difference in manufacturer's/seller's terminology. Maybe try spraying a couple of samples and see.

I have the blade off the excavator now for cylinder rebuild. Barrel end pin was frozen and I removed the blade and brought whole assembly into town to get the cylinder off the blade. I bought two cans of the 690229 paint. I should be able to paint the whole blade and I hope the cylinder with one can. I'll see how it looks.

FYI ... 325 PC only lists orange, white, and black as paint colors. The charcoal grey is a Tallsman (aftermarket paint supplier) product.
