I picked up a used craftsman 316.794970 Leaf blower/vacuum. The only thing it didn't come with was the vacuum bag. I see the replacement from sears is $30, I would rather not spend that much on this thing.
Anybody know of a cheaper alternative? Maybe something homemade?

Try e-bay, I was able to purchase an extra vacuum bag for my leaf-hog for about 1/2 the cost of Black & Decker. Give them a try

So, I ran across this website

And got to thinking that looks a lot like a sewn up bed sheet. I also noticed they mentioned it was made of polyester. I grabbed a polyester pillow case from the closet. Tied it to the leaf blow discharge with a piece of rope and tried it out on a pile of wet leaves left over from last fall. Worked out pretty good.
