I don't see how it would be overkill up north... Could be that the blower is pushing a bit too hard with the down force (as mentioned) or maybe you need a set of front wheel weights?
:ditto::ditto: Lift up the blower slightly :fing32:Yes, could probably use an adjustment. How high does the blower lift off the ground? If it is only a few inches then it might be adjusted to much on the low side. Sometimes, while making a turn you will have to lift up the blower slightly to take pressure off the front end so it will turn.
There is a slot (as opposed to a hole) where the front linkage attaches. It would seem that if you have the pin that connects the linkage to the front bracket positioned in the center of the slot, you would have a small amount of travel, both up and down, where only the weight of the blower was causing pressure. It is similar to the float mode on my JP electric sleeve hitch.
I also readily admit that while I have installed this unit on my x500, I have not yet used it in snow.
I don't know why I was thinking you had an electric lift. :sorry1: :banghead3:thanku: to all for the advice.Based on all your input i went out to the garage and had a look, this am.The dealer did the blower install. (first deck removal/service and blower install included in price) The lift on the 534 is hydraulic ( no electric actuator) using the lift mechanism from the deck that is attached to the blower through a linkage arm.
Don't sweat it. If I knew half of what you do I wouldn't half to ask for help in the first place. :trink39:I don't know why I was thinking you had an electric lift. :sorry1: :banghead3
