Howdy, I initially signed up for MyTractorForum.com but was re-directed to MyGardenTractorForum.com and did my initial introduction there March 2011. So, in a sense I am starting over at square one with part of the site.I am an avid auction participant and buy unusual items from time to time.I own various types of small engine equipment and am just starting to be a wrencher very late in life by starting with small engines and chain saws.I have since graduated up to servicing my box truck which I recently replaced the head gasket and head bolts on the 292 ci Chevy engine myself with a borrowed torque wrench and advice from 3 mechanics and my wife's uncle.I used bits and pieces of advice from e mechanics and my wife's uncle who farms in Ohio.I attend as many antique tractor and engine shows in or around northwest Ohio and eastern Indiana as time permits. I started out on a farm up till 3 years of age when my folks moved to town.My family background is all about farming as my late Grandad Harold farmed and owned a big feed mill in northwest Ohio.My other late Grandad Bill farmed as well and I still look for Native American Indian relics on this farm as often as I can weather and ground conditions permitting.I have worked as a plumbers helper,as a welder/pipefitter,a sheet metalsmith, heavy equipment operator, heavy equipment repair and ended up in sales.I have always liked working on my vehicles,my power equipment and other peoples's equipment.
Even though I am now semi-retired and in sales work,I am most satisfied now to have dirty hands and the knowledge I learned something fixing and engine or a piece of equipment.Steve-2tawl

Hi Steve, welcome to MTF. Nothing beats the satisfaction of fixing something yourself. Enjoy the forums :fing32:
