OK, there are lots of posts on 3000 series hydros but I didn't see one on this very simple question:
What is the best way to test the hydro fluid level? Is it cold on a level surface? or more like a car where it is warm and after using forward and reverse? Just wondering.:thanku::dunno:
I check it cold, before the engine is started. This way I don't need a rag to clean-off the dip stick. While I've never checked, I can't imagine a significant difference between a hot check and a cold check.
