I have an IH-140 with a 60" belly mower that I've been using to cut around 2-3 acres of grass at my parent's house. it has been having some issues with stopping and not restarting lately, so I've finished up a few times with my 8163-G, and one time I did the whole area with it. It does the job, but I am beat up afterwards. The constant bouncing around over ruts, gopher mounds and just generally rough ground makes it not a very pleasant experience. The IH-140, of course has a much longer wheelbase and wider track that makes it more comfortable. I was mowing in third gear to get the job done faster, so I know that makes for a rougher ride, but the machine has enough power to handle cutting at that speed and I don't want to take all day with the job. Is there a model (24G?) that has a longer wheelbase or wider track, or is there something else I can do to make the experience more comfortable? Different tires, air pressure, maybe?
