Bantam 5000/8000 info needed

I have started looking into my an old Bantam garden tractor my grandfather had. The plate the had the model #'s is missing so I don't have any info and I can't read if there was anything written on the motor.

I think it is a 5hp or 8hp based on the body style (does not have clamshell fenders) but was there any difference in body or dimensions between the 5000 & 8000?

I know they were made mostly in the 50's, are there any differences or changes I could use to determine the year it was made?
