Just got a new 200CX loader and ballast box for the 2305.
Will post pics when I get a chance. Everyone likes to look at
pics.
I know a lot of you are using concrete in the ballast box. Have
also seen where some are using steel in the box.

What about using sand tubes, like you would throw in the back
of you pickup box in the winter. I figure you could get about
11-12 of them in the box. At about 50lbs each, that's 600lbs.
I guess I don't know that they weigh 50 lbs, I'm just guessing.
Anyway, they would be easy to obtain, not much work at all to
put in the box, and easy to remove if you would ever want to use
the box for something else.
What do you guys think?

JD Greg,
I never had a ballast box until now. I just got one in last month. Have not done anything yet but was planning on putting some PVC or metal to hold my shovel or rake and pour concrete in it. Should have enough room to put chains in it. Also ordered the bucket hooks to weld on. Just bought a unique dump trailer so thinking about adding a hitch also.
I am open to all kinds of suggestions but that is what I was planning on doing. Never needed the BB as I always used the hoe for ballast.:goodl:

Greg,

Really, you can use anything, as long as it gets you to the weight you need. :)

How about making a holder that is 3/4 inch wide x5 inches wide x 22 inches long so you can stand it up inside the box before you pour the cement in. this can hold a chain saw for you.. kinda the same shape as those chain saw bar covers...
