I've decided to change the transmission fluids on my B212, considering it could still be the original oil judging by the maintenance history of the previous owners.

So online I've found a site that calls for SAE 80EP in both the bevel gear housing and transmission (manual shift). A quick Google search reveals that this could be hard to find - is SAE 80W-90 Gear Oil a suitable replacement?

The same site stated 1.5 quarts of oil for the transmission and 1 pint for the BGH. Does this sound correct to you guys? The 1.5 quarts seemed a little low at first glance but I don't have too much experience with tractor transmissions.

Just thought I'd check before I do something wrong and mess it up! :fing32:

Got some 80W-90 at Bi-Mart today and changed out the old stuff. The fluid in the transmission wasn't too bad but was due a change. The bevel gear housing however was pretty bad, and there didn't seem to be enough in there. Definitely worth changing it!
