917255919 and I haven't seen any safety switches. I'm wanting to take the cover off the motor so I can get to the coil pack ,so I can take it off to sand the ends to get fire to the plugs. Or get a new coil what ever the case may be.

You have an Operator Presence Relay that can kill spark.
It "shouldn't" enter into the picture unless the PTO is engaged, but maybe it's defective?
Try removing it and see if it makes a difference.

Else, check kill wire for grounding with the key OFF.

Well its a wonder what sanding the flywheel and the sol will do. With new gas ,and plugs, with nothing but a battery and the motor,no wires no were.it fired right up . Let it run a few mins then cut it off.drain the oil ,and the first little bit was clear water , I said wth ,then the oil came out and was black as I think I'm good . Now to get all the parts painted that I got off and to find what bolt goes were.

Is that what you're looking for? I've no clue if they were all the same. It wouldn't surprise me if they changed them throughout the production run and or if they were made at other plants.

Hope it helped,

This is a public forum, so anybody's welcome to photos I post, but thanks for asking, and I'm glad I could help.

The 1989 has a metal dash and is photographed above. The 1987 has a laminated dash or if you will, the entire dashboard's nothing but a big sticker.

Cheers,

Keep an eye out for a donor tractor. I don't know how common they are in your area, but where I am, craigslist has these tractors on weekly. 44" and 50" were the two decks offered. I'm pretty sure that the mandrels were the same on both decks. I often see somebody selling the 44" decks on craigslist for 50 - 200 dollars.

It's hard to see in your photos, but are the attachment arms still on the tractor for the deck. Sometimes people remove them as well.

If your talking about the arms that hook to the lowering thing ,yes but the deck would have to have a few more arms to come with it.
