Briggs & stratton twin cyl model 49M777, about 180 hours on the engine. I started the eng and was warming it up when it started to cycle the RPM like it was running out of fuel (it was), it quit and would not restart, i suspected a fuel problem.
The fuel tank had fuel but the fuel filter had no fuel in it so i checked the pump, there was vacuum going to the pump but the pump would not pull any vacuum on the fuel inlet.
Replaced the pump and that fixed the problem.
New pump $20, replacement time 10 minutes, i like easy fixes. :trink40:
