Thanks - that's what I thought. Just trying to figure out why mine won't run...has me completely baffled so far. Has air, fuel and spark, but doesn't even cough.
Assuming it has compression as well (the last magic ingredient in the list of air, fuel, and spark), possibly your ignition timing is off somehow? Sheared flywheel key, etc.
If it ever lost the welch plug at the bottom of the intake elbow, the engine could have been dusted. The first thing to go will be the intake valve clearance, which will make starting very difficult. Next, will be the rings. Add some oil to the cylinder to raise the compression and see what happens.
