Finally cut the yard with my Snapper 28 RER. Mounted the 12HP engine from the donor 33. Swapped drive disk/pulley from my old 10HP, now belt fits. Swapped starter gears. Readjusted drive disk. Started and cut yard while it was running, ran fairly well but would not idle. Pulled Walbro LMT carb. disassembled, cleaned everything, reinstalled. Now the problem. Screws set at 1 1/2 turns out, needs some fine tuning. How do I disable the seat safety switch so I adjust the carb while the engine is running? Thanks in advance.

disabling a seat switch is "thin ice" around here; so hopefully I don't get in trouble for saying this here; but I have 2 suggestions to keep it "able"; ( I won't say "option 3" which is what I'd be more likely to do, myself, but would certainly be "deleted")
either; get someone to set in the seat while you adjust or else (and you wouldnt be able to "run" the machine like this, you'd have to "undo" this temporary fix to be able to actually "use" the machine so here goes; set a cinder block or 2 on the seat to allow it to run for adjustment purposes.

Sorry Brandon, but as mentioned, advice on disabling a safety device is a no no here :tsk:.
