Anyone use this JD cab on the x300 series?

Was wondering if anyone uses this snow cab made/sold by Deere? It looks to be a new style with four sides and an actual hinged door. I know the cab for the D series looks similar, but this is for the X300 series. I can't seem to find it on Deere's site, but there is a JD Dealer on ebay selling them. They actually have a pic of one installed in their showroom. Looks nice. The JD part# is LP36740.

Here is the kit # for the x300 series BM23055 Weather Enclosure is shown below without fabric:
PA318, I also checked on keepingitgreen.com and came up with this. This is the older three sided model, with the open back, which my father in law happens to own. The one I posted has a different post structure than the one you posted. I'm sure it's something that is produced for Deere by an outside vendor. It may be too new for keepingit green.com. Thanks.
Here are the pictures the dealer on ebay posted. Looks really nice.

I looked at this cab also. I like the fact that it has 4 sides but for the price I just built my own hard cab for that price...
CH, I just saw your cab. Came out great!

Here is a Place that had the new weather enclosure. There out of stock currently but it looks like they had them http://www.rungreen.com/John-Deere-X300-Weather-enclosure_p_2108.html

LP36740 is for the X300 series
LP36741 is for the X500 series

That is a big improvement over the previous three sided model I purchased last Spring for my X360. My wife did a great job making a back for my enclosure and it works great. It looks like it was designed with a back.
I just don't get the three sided approach JD had. It was like a two legged stool.

I share your pain. It will snow, I guarantee it. When, is another question.

Well Long Before they had Hard Cabs for Row Crop tractors. The Farmers use what was Called a weather Break which was 3 sided and didn't have a top But Keep the Blowing snow out of Your face at least and that’s basically what the 3sided Cab is a weather Break But with a Roof. One of the reasons they went with this design was it was easy to install and Put away for the residential user since the 300 & 400 series redesign in 1992 Cab sales went down for the Hard side panel Cabs for the GT200 & 325 thru GX355 The 425 - 455 Cab sales seemed to stay steady The Biggest Complaint Deere always Had gotten from owners was off season storage Because Most Owners did not want to leave the Cab on in summer Months. But they still wanted something to Keep the snow Out of there Face and at a reasonable Price Compared to what owners Had had to pay in the Past for snow Protection. Why Deere didn’t just advertise the OTC weather enclosure for the X500 & X300 is Beyond even some of the Deere design team. So when they came out with the Cab for the LA100 series They(Deere Design Team) figured they could use a similar design for the X300 & X500 which would fit what the Customer Feed back was in the Past for storage and the Feed Back they got from owners Like You than want a total enclosure & That the cab be easily installed and taken down But still keep the wind and snow of them while doing snow removal duty another reason the went with the 3 sided Cab with Roof Because that what Other Manufactures had been doing since the early 2000’s Mainly MTD & AYP But Deere Had seen through a lot of the dealers in last 4 years was Owners Of the X300 & X500 had been Buying a lot of Bercomac 4 sided Cabs and OTC sales had also been up for X300 & X500 series Cabs Besides what they Had been for the X465 thru X749 Plus the New Cabs are even easier to install than a OTC weather enclosure Cab and Take Up less storage than a OTC cab. Basically Deere was saving Money by going with the weather Break design because sales had Been low for 4 sided Cabs for the LX200 series and the GT200 through GX355 Series tractors :thThumbsU

HI Kamccarthy,
I just got mine on Friday, it is awesome. Fully enclosed, full access to all blower controls, and plenty of room.

Just wondering if you've looked at the OTC cabs? They will fit, mine measures in at 72.5" tall.
I have the LP36740 weather enclosure. I really like it compared to no cab at all. It is the only one I have had so I can't compare it to others. I bought it used. Found a for sale ad for a tractor, blower setup with this cab. Asked if he would sell just the cab and said it might make the tractor easier to sell at a lower price. He said yes and delivered it the next day. Guess he needed the cash. Turned out it was never even used.:thThumbsU

I have seen those on ebay now that I looked. For now its a bit out of my price range. It does look nice and would be awesome if it had the safety glass front window and wiper! You have a very cool cab! :thThumbsU
