I'm about to go on Sunday and pick this Gravely up. It'll be my 1st so I really don't know much about them. I like the idea of having the engine over the wheels though. I've been around cubs more.
I wanted to know if anyone knew of this tractor? Make sure it has no secret bad history or anything like that. The Owner seems like he is totally on the up and up and A genuinely nice guy.

I also wondered if I will still need wheel weights for the blower if I have inclines? And those of you w/ snowblowers if you still use the normal ones or do the tractor mounted work well enough w/out being too large and unmaneuverable?
Thanks, Mike

BTW. I am trading an older 125 cub w/ a loader on it. The cub runs great but is in need of a cosmetic upgrade. I'm willing to pay the premium because I just don't have have the time to do this myself.

Good looking machine, glad it is not mine, I could not afford the wax to keep that beauty looking good.

You will enjoy it.

Every ounce on the back (wheel weights etc...) will help when you have to go in reverse. Start eating potato chips!!! LOL!!

Wow! That is one gorgeous tractor! I hope it runs as good as it looks.

Only thing I saw missing is the lens for the headlight.

Congratulations! This is a very nice looking tractor. You will really enjoy using it. The blower, and deck look very nice as well.

You should have no problem using this blower vs. a smaller one. You'll certainly have a lot more fun! You'll be finished faster too. And if we finally get any snow, you will quickly learn why they are refered to as "snow cannons" by the Gravely faithful.

Rear wheel weights still enhance traction, and would probably help with your inclines.
Chances are that you would be able to go without them in the meantime.

Be sure to update us when you get it home (pics included)!

Congratulations on such a beautiful machine, Mike. I don't know anything about it, but I sure was watching the auction wishing that I could jump on it.

Looking forward to the photos! :fing32:

Good Luck with the 816 Mike. It certainly is a beautiful tractor. If is runs half as good as it looks you are in business. I have a 44" blower on my 818T and it is fantastic. You are going to love it!

I have it's bigger brother the 818T. It is my favorite tractor. I predict that 816T will become your favorite.

There's appears to be a clear plexi lens on there. I made a one like it for my 8120 and it really improved the amount of light that it puts out.
