I broke a drive chain and must have sheared some keys. How hard is it to get this thing apart?

Well chain case is pretty easy, the gear case with the gear key looks to be a bit more involved though! I had a tiller for the 212 and it came apart pretty easy but there was not shaft drive on it!

I got the chain case apart, that's how I found the broken chain. But the shaft is spinning freely in the gear case and oil is pouring out of a couple of seals.

I ordered a tech manual off ebay bot it is not here yet.

I hope a few new seals and a couple of keys and a master link will get it going. Know what size chain it is?

Home-boy, I can give you the part number for the chain (M80996) and I would think it is likely to be #40 roller chain but I'd suggest calling your dealer and ask. There is a key on that shaft and sounds like some metal may have ruined your seals so likely you'll have to take it apart. I get my keys at the local hardware store in their specialty bins (they have a great assortment).

My local dealer said the chain is a #60H. A master link should be easy to find. Good news because a new chain was $80
