I haven't picked this up yet, it's a couple hundred miles away, planning on going Tuesday. Advertised as a "69" and "runs" Comes with snow blower and rear blade Price is 250, I thought it was a scam, because the other day someone had a GT with a loader at a ridiculous price, and I emailed them about 5 times. It shortly disappeared. THIS guy claims he's a retired state cop, so I'm a little more confident!!

All I can read in the pictures is a 3 digit model starting with 1 Can anyone tell what model it is?

I don't know the model but it would be worth that price to me.
No idea, but the blower and rear blade are probably worth $250. Looking forward to hearing a little more when you pick it up.
Well part of the mystery solved, Seller wrote back, it's a 102. Now do all of these have the "creeper gear" IE is this a dual range transmission, or do some have the 3 speed and some have the creeper?
This one has the creeper! Go get it! Stop all the worrying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The creeper alone is worth $150.

I love those indestructable hard as heck rubber seats some came with too. And you didn't even know your great deal came with a creeper gear!
That's the icing on the cake, plus a road trip.

How do you tell, I assume by the levers layout?
The little lever to the left of the shifter. The pipe sticking up to the right of the creeper knob is an oil fill for it. Easily $150 alone.
I gotta agree with everything said above...

You got a heck of a deal!!!

GO GET IT BEFORE IT GETS AWAY

The creeper gear is a highly sought after option. It bolts onto the front of a standard three speed transmission it is what some refer to as an "underdrive" it does just what it's name says (it causes the tractor to "creep" along). You'll need it for blowing/throwing snow. Some people think it is like a hi/low range transmission in a regular tractor, that's not exactly the case, it isn't intended to deliver more power to the rear axle, it's intended purpose is to move the machine along at a slower rate of speed for different applications/attachments (blowing snow, using a trencher, that sort of thing).

The little black knob to the left of the shifter and the vent tube sticking up just in front of the shifter are what "tells" us that it has the creeper gear.

attorney_barnabas_collins, is right about the seat too, it may not be the coolest looking seat IH ever used, but you almost CAN'T tear them up.

If it has any electrical problems, there are three things to check first, make sure you have good ground connections, make sure you have good ground connections, and lastly make sure you have good ground connections.

Get that thing home, get it running, and let us know how much you like it.

Thanks for all the great info. I'll know more when I get it home. Seller said he'll save it for me, didn't even ask for a deposit.

I dropped a name. Back when I worked for a Motorola outfit, I did a lot of work down in that county, installed the E911 telco/ radio system, and fire/ police repeaters and paging, as well as the consoles in their dispatch. Their former sheriff is now a US Marshall.
That Cub is from the 1x2/3 Series of Cubs. The 1x2/3 Series was produced between Aug 65 to Nov 67.

It is obviously a Gear Drive, so, without knowing the HP, it would be a 102 (10HP) or a 122 (12HP).

:fing32:
That one is a 102, 122 had a different seat. 122 had a fiberglass upholstered seat.
Well guys, got 'er home today, and just got in from wrestling the blower off, what a POS the mount is for THAT. Anyhow, it does run after a fashion, it's dirty, needs some work here and there, but engine sound good, some questions:

Do these have an auto compression release? Doesn't seem to have much just turning by hand, but sound good, and pulls good (down the alley) in high gear/ high range, bout took me off the seat Clutch is stiff but seems to hold good.

NO idea yet about condition of PTO.

How about manuals. good place (Efray?) to get them? Any particular seller good? If I get a service manual, do I need the owner/ operator manual?

Turns out the headlights were a "field modification" Someone just hacked holes in the front and put some tractor lamps in there. Didn't do a particularly good job on the holes. I may have to put some screening over them for appearance, but it's not a thing of beauty.

I don't know if the generator works, there isn't an ammeter (yet)
