Anyone ever hear about KORVETTES push mower.

I was wondering if anyone here has ever heard about the KORVETTES push mower. I acquired this one last year from a friend. I haven’t really done anything to it due to too many other projects, but hopefully I can get it running some day. It has a 3hp Briggs and Stratton. Has anyone heard of these? Does anyone have one? I can barely find anything on the internet regarding these mowers.

This will tell you about EJ Korvettes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._J._Korvette
Possibly made by MTD?...Korvettes folded on 1980, so you know it is at least 43 years old

thats a time trip seeing one of them again, sold only in korvettes possibly made by murray
Looks to be possibly from the mid/ late 60’s to early 70’s from looking at that 3HP Briggs on it. Cool mower and bet it won’t take much to get it going again.
EJ Korvette was also in Detroit. From 1966 they published music hits of the day. How many do you recognize?

  • Double bonus points to anyone with a turn table having a 45 rpm option.

Yeah that olds Briggs brings back memories! Those engines were on the mowers that my brothers and I pushed around the old neighborhood for years cutting for side money. The engines seemed to be commercial grade and would last with moderate care, but everything else, deck and wheels wouldn't really hold up to the rigors of commercial duty, hence the conversion over to a Lawn-Boy in 1977.
