Found a good deal on a 4520 4wd hydro, and plan to use it for the normal duties (brush hog, loader, etc) but also to plow @ 1/2 acre each spring with the 2-bottom plow I have. Obviously if I was buying new or planning to plow acres on end the power reverser gear drive might be a better choice, but the hydro should be fine I think.

Anyone else doing this? Just curious if I'm the only one.

I use mine with a 3 bottom plow in my garden.. It works decent.. I sure wouldn't want to plow with my 4520 all day.. heck not even a few hours. Just "seems" like i'm hurting it.. I don't know why.. So i'm rigging up my old jd three bottom plow for pulling behind my old JD tractor..
