I have noticed that Lawn Boy seems to have the greatest popularity on this site, but was wondering if anyone collects toro or snapper. I have been collecting Allis and Simplicity garden tractors for years but what got me hooked on small engines were 21" Snapper self propelled mowers. I used to cut neighborhood lawns with them when I was younger. I collected them for a while and even have an old aluminum deck with the split letter logo from the 60's. IMO, they had the best design for rear wheel drive, and the Hi-Vac decks are great. I have also been using old toro's for years, my Grandfather has had several 19" models, they have got to be from the 60's, they have LAV30 tecumseh engines with oil bath air cleaners. Is there a reason that Snapper and Toro seem to be overlooked?

Hang around AC, I think you'll find most of the people here have an
appreciation of quality workmanship and well-made tools.
I have several Lawn-Boy mowers, two Snappers and three Toros.
You are welcome here.

Yep, I collect Snappers and Toros now. On the hunt for a 33" Toro Commercial Whirlwind now, from the 1960's. Had one and wished I'd never sold it, lol.

Yeah, that is the one... This is my old one I sold last year. I was selling two Simplicity parts tractors and a non-running ExMark commercial mower, and the guy started peeling off more hundred dollar bills for the old Toro. What can I say, I have a thing for green paper! :ROF
