10301. New coil. New carb. Did the same thing before the new coil and carb. Starts, runs for a random amount of time and then dies. Usually will not restart until it cools down. Could plugged exhaust ports be causing this?

Do you still have spark after it dies and won't restart? Let's narrow this down to fuel or ignition.

Maybe the kill switch is not quite adjusted right? Might be a long shot but worth checking.

Could be what we were talking about in another thread. Restricted fuel supply to carb. New carb doesn't mean adjusted properly either. You could be simply running out of fuel, it may not be cool down that's allowing restart, it may be the carb bowl has had time to refill.

Like ODF said, check for spark right after it dies. Narrow it down. Hit the primer bulb when it goes to die and see what happens.

No spark when it dies. Doesn't seem very responsive to the primer when it begins to die, but will occasionally keep running a little longer.
